Dufferin - Humber charity game set

2008-04-03 / Sports

After embarking on an exhausting training regiment for last years Humber Challenge Cup which had the Humber College Staff Stars win the inaugural game against the County of Dufferin Staff Stars 8 - 3, it was only a matter of time that a rematch would be in the works.

Again, as a result of some difficult and lengthy negotiations, a charity Hockey game to benefit the Honeywood Arena will be held on Friday, April 11th, 2008 at the Honeywood Arena located on County Road #21.

Yes with dreams of being drafted by an NHL hockey team long-gone, the County of Dufferin Staff Stars and the Humber College Staff Stars will take to the ice in what is being billed as the 'must see' Hockey game in Honeywood, Ontario on a Friday night.

The veterans of latenight ice rentals are ready again to show the community their skills at being able to skate from one end of the rink to the other without falling down.

You'll see complete passes, and possibly the odd 'off-side' too, but more importantly it will be the community that comes out to support this Hockey game and the Honeywood Arena.

The puck drops at 7:10pm at the Honeywood Arena and admission to this benefit game is a Toonie for Adults, and a Loonie for Children.

There will be prizes and a 50/50 draw too!

Don't miss out on this annual event between the County of Dufferin Staff Stars and the Humber College Staff Stars.
