Located on the Town of Orangeville website - www.orangeville.ca, the Energy Challenge allows users to compare their household energy consumption compared to other homes in the Orangeville area. Green Pathways Inc., a co-venture of Orangeville Hydro Limited and Power Up Renewable Energy Co-operative Inc., will have a grand opening of its new store this Saturday, May 31st, as a conclusion to Energy Conservation Week in Orangeville.
Green Pathways is an energy conservation, energy efficiency, and green living one-stop-shop to service both residential and commercial clients.
The service being provided from the Green Pathways office in Orangeville Hydro at 400 C Line is the initiative of a dedicated team with the ongoing support of Orangeville Hydro Limited President George Dick and the Boards of Orangeville Hydro Limited and Power Up Renewable Energy Cooperative Inc.
The Green Pathways business format was developed during the winter of 2007-08. Whether you are a homeowner or a business, Green Pathways will be the place to visit to learn what you can do to combat climate change, reduce your carbon and eco-footprint, conserve energy and other resources e.g. use energy and other resources more efficiently and effectively, generate green power and 'live green'.
Green Pathways is to link people and businesses with products and services. Their Affiliate Program supports this, through affiliations with various manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers. Green Pathways offers the connection, the services and the products to explain and teach you to become more "green" and be able to put what you've learned into practice.
The grand opening display Saturday will include products and services offered by Green Pathways.
The grand opening runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the official opening slated for 11 a.m.
