Darlington announcement leaves lots to be desired
      LAST WEEK'S ANNOUNCEMENT that the Darlington nuclear power development will be the site of two new generating units is both interesting and unsettling. Our interest lies in the government's apparent decision to try untested technology, by opting for two units that would be designed to produce almost as much electricity as now comes from the existing fourunit station.

Townships need to be kept informed
      ALTHOUGH WE ACKNOWLEDGE that higher levels of government need to have a measure of control over most things for the common good, we are less than impressed by Queen's Park's apparent lack of respect for governments at the township level.

      THE OPENING next Monday of the GO Transit bus terminal and Park & Ride at Orangeville's new train station will surely be welcomed by area commuters, if nothing else because of the classy state of the new parking lot.
