      In recent weeks there have been a number of reports saying that "Parents want local French Immersion." Of course they do. A French Immersion Program includes very capable students, top quality teachers and often lower class numbers.

Dear Churches - Show Up Or Shut Up!
      Can someone please tell me why we have a "gospel/Christian" segment every year at the Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival? Don't get me wrong, the music and message of the "Jesus time" at 11:00 Sunday morning is good stuff and relatively harmless. It's just that I think the organizers would get a much better turnout if they put something more mainstream in that time slot.

No required respect
      I am writing in response to Ms Westendorp's letter in your edition of June 19. Ms Westendorp writes that "many have failed to maintain a needed respect for the office of President....." and, further, the fact it is commonplace "does not make it acceptable, neither here nor there" (my italics).
