Last Saturday, June 21, shortly after 6 p.m., Dufferin OPP received a 911 call from a residence on the Amaranth-East Luther townline.

A 26-year-old male from Mississauga who suffered cuts to his neck, back and hand was transported by ambulance to Headwaters Health Care Centre with non-life-threatening injuries and was released later that evening.

Chetram Madramootoo, 42, of Toronto, was charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 29.
