Litmus test for church's support?
      Re: Dear Churches - Show Up or Shut Up! I would like to respond to the letter from "Andrew the Agnostic". On the surface he seems to make a valid point. If the Jazz & Blues Festival dedicates an hour to Christian music then why wouldn't the churches attend? I take his question seriously and I believe he deserves a serious response, one to which I will gladly sign my name.

Lack of contract 'absurd'
      It's completely absurd that our police have been operating without a contract since January 2006. Is it true that our service is one of the lowest paid in Ontario? At the very least, the Orangeville Police Service should be on par with the Dufferin/Caledon O.P.P. After all, they deal with very similar issues in this part of southern Ontario.

Vandals should come forward
      This year the Town of Orangeville celebrated Earth Day. Trees were donated by CVC, Trout Unlimited, Izaac Walton Fly Fishing Club and TD Canada Trust and demonstrations, instructions and information was provided to 125 volunteers who showed up on a hot Saturday morning - some old, some young, parents with kids, teenagers.
