Blood donor clinic in Shelburne next Tuesday
      Canadian Blood Services says it has an immediate need for blood donations, a need which Shelburne area residents will have a chance to help meet next week. "Based on our forecasts over the next four weeks, we expect patients in hospitals across Canada to need over 63,000 units of blood," the service said in a news release.

SHED FIRE CONTAINED:
     Photo/MIKE MALONEY SHED FIRE CONTAINED: Orangeville firefighters took all of five minutes to contain a fire Sunday evening that destroyed an unused shed by the railyards north of Town Line. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and the fire department says the structure had no true dollar value.

     Craig Stevenson, manager of Canadian Tire in Orangeville, presents Nadine Collins, resource development manager of Family Transition Place, with a cheque for $1,192. It represents $5 from the sale of each artificial Christmas tree last season. The Canadian Tire Foundation for Families matched the amount that was raised during the sale.

      Market on Broadway, downtown Orangeville's farmers' market, will feature full season vendor Whole Village CSA Farm this Saturday, July 26. CORRECTION
      A photo last week indicated a total of $6,000 in bursaries was given to students by the Orangeville Legion. In fact, the total to be given is $8,000 to 16 students. Four of the students weren't at the presentation but are receiving their bursaries individually.
