Each year The Maples Independent Country School donates a portion of the earnings from the school's major fundraiser, The Fall Festival, to a local charity or foundation. For the past two years The Maples PTA have donated to The Children's Wish Foundation, which supports families with seriously ill children. Heather Paddy, her daughter Elizabeth and son Clarke accepted the $1,000 cheque on behalf of the foundation. Presenting the cheque is Sandra Hartman, The Maples PTA Secretary.
