Town police probe robbery

Orangeville Police are actively investigating a robbery at a local residence on Wednesday of last week.

Police say that at about 10 p.m., three males went to a John Street residence and forced their way inside. One suspect was seen brandishing a knife while another had a gun.

One female victim and one male victim were not hurt during the incident.

Police say the trio demanded a quantity of cash and other valuables. After about 20 minutes they left the scene on foot with a small quantity of cash and were last seen walking toward York Street.

The suspects are described as follows:

1. Male white, approximately 19-20 years old, 6' tall with short blonde hair, wearing a black jacket.

2. Male white, 19-20 years old, wearing a black varsity jacket.

3. Male black, 5'8, 19-20 years old, wearing a red hooded jacket.

All three are said to have concealed their faces from the victims with bandannas.

Police are continuing their investigation. Callers remain anonymous and information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the crime may qualify the caller to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
