UNDER FIREWORKS AT MIDNIGHT or with friends around the table, people across Dufferin County rang in 2009 in style. The Town of Orangeville was one of many communities that took things outside, holding their annual First Night celebrations in the downtown core. At the Lord Dufferin Centre, residents refused to wait until midnight but instead marked the occasion in a gathering held earlier in the day while out at the Orangeville Fairgrounds, the Dodge Rodeo brought in the New Year with their year end banquet then started 2009 with rodeo's both Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon.
