Muskies drown Rats in 'The Tank'
      The Shelburne Muskies kicked off 2009 in fine form this past Saturday night at the CDRC, where they annihilated the visiting Nottawasaga River Rats by a final score of 20-0 . Following on the heels of a 5-2 loss in Palmerston the week before, Shelburne was out to set the record straight.

      ORANGEVILLE CRUSHERS refused to admit defeat Tuesday, rallying from an early two goal deficit to defeat the North York Rangers by a final score of 7-4. The win is their second in a row since returning to play after the Christmas break, the first one being a 7-3 decision over Villanova at home in the Alder Street Arena on Friday night.

      The Orangeville Wolves Special Hockey Team traveled to Ajax recently for the Durham Dragons Friendship tournament. The Wolves, a team of developmentally challenged athletes are in the midst of their ninth season.

      Home ice and a first place ranking was not intimidating enough to deter a gritty Flyers Minor Atom AE squad who took their show on the road to defeat the league leading Oakville Rangers in their own rink by a final score of 3-1.

      ORANGEVILLE JR A Northmen wrapped their stellar season with the 2008 Awards Banquet at the Best Western Hotel. Mat McLeod was the big winner this year taking home the prestigious Northmen of the Year Award. In recognition of their dedication and contributions to the team, this years graduating players were also recognized at the event.

      The Sunvale Homes Shelburne Wolves Tyke LL#3 team participated in a tournament this past weekend in Shelburne. In their first game against Thornton, it was an evenly matched game, which ended in a 6-5 loss.
