LDC to host session on osteoporosis
As an initiative of the Ontario Osteoporosis Strategy, Osteoporosis Canada is working with the Lord Dufferin Centre in Orangeville, to host an Osteoporosis Information Forum for the public next Thursday, January 29.
The forum will run from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Centre's second floor Activity Room.
The forum will provide information to people to help them reduce their risks of developing Osteoporosis, a potentially devastating condition. Individuals will learn what Osteoporosis is, what they can do to maintain healthy bones, how Osteoporosis is treated, coping with Osteoporosis, Falls Prevention & Safety.
Speakers will include Judy Porteous, Osteoporosis Canada, Ontario Osteoporosis Strategy; Rose Mary Margarett, Pharmacist; Peggy Bond, Physical Therapist; Patricia Banks, R.N.; Brad de St. Aubyn, Public Health Nurse. There is no admission charge for the event, but pre register by calling Patricia at the Lord Dufferin Centre. 519 941 8433 ext: 222 Light Refreshments will be served.
