Julia Gimpel of Grand Valley was the big winner at last weekend's Grand Valley Lions' Duck Race, garnering the top prize of $1,000.

Next in line with a $500 second-place finish was David Loveridge, Grand Valley, and the $250 prize for third place donated by Greenwood Ready Mix went to Bill McCutcheon, also of Grand Valley.

The other winners: Patricia P. Wixson, Orangeville, $100 donated by Bryan's Fuel; Dave Gilman, Grand Valley, $100 donated by RBC Financial, and Teresa Coldwell, Grand Valley, $100 donated by Arthurs Fuel Inc.
