Additional charges for former OPP officer

Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Caledon detachment Crime Unit have laid additional charges against a retired OPP officer as a result of the ongoing investigation into historical sexual offences.

The additional charges relate to incidents reported by a victim to have occurred between 1983 and 1985.

On Monday, May 25, 2009 the OPP arrested Robert (Bob) George Lewis, age 62, of Fenelon Falls and laid the following additional charges against him:

- Sexual Assault

- Forcible Confinement

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on July 9, 2009 in Orangeville.

OPP investigators would like to hear from anyone who may have information concerning these or any other incidents involving the accused.
