Upper Grand board lists appointments, transfers
The Upper Grand District School Board has announced appointments and transfers of several principals and vice-principals in Dufferin schools, effective Sept. 1.
Among the secondary school appointments, Deidre Wilson, currently vice-principal of Centre Wellington District High School in Fergus, has been appointed principal of Centre Dufferin District High School in Shelburne, and Jennifer Meeker, a teacher at Orangeville District Secondary School, will become vice-principal of Westside Secondary School. Julie Bodiam, currently vice-principal at Westside, will take the same post at Centre Wellington.
Among those appointed as elementary school principals are Tracey Lindsay, currently with the Wellington Catholic board, as acting principal of Montgomery Village Public School in Orangeville, and Carlo Zen, also currently with the Wellington Catholic board, as principal of Grand Valley and District Public School.
The list of transfers includes that of Tammy Fleming, currently viceprincipal at Primrose Elementary, to the same post at Princess Elizabeth Public School in Orangeville; Amanda Leathem, vice-principal at Island Lake Public School, to the same post at Kortright Hills P.S.; Anita Lagundza-deFreitas, viceprincipal at Credit Meadows Elementary, to the same post at Erin Public School. As well, Lynda McDougall, acting vice-principal at Hyland Heights P.S., has been appointed vice-principal of Primrose Elementary.
