Orangeville's annual Founders' Fair coming July 10-11
The Downtown Orangeville BIA will be hosting the Annual Founders' Fair celebration on Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11, in the downtown area.
The event will open in style with an old-fashioned kick off on the Main stage sponsored by MacMaster Pontiac Buick GMC and Silverbrook Homes. Orangeville's Official Town Crier, Betty Kading, will lead the way introducing MP David Tilson, Mayor Rob Adams and BIA Chair Geoff Chandler to welcome visitors and launch this year's festivities.
Immediately following, crowds will enjoy the skill of juggling and acrobatic performances by A Different Spin.
At the main stage, the Campfire Poets will be performing from 7:30 to 10 p.m. and will entertain the crowd with five decades of upbeat party songs, great musicianship and a whole lot of fun. With classics like "Brown Eyed Girl" and "Mustang Sally" to modern classics like "What I Got" and "Home for a Rest", it's no wonder crowds love them! Their repertoire includes selections from Credence Clearwater Revival, Steve Miller, Big Sugar, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blue Rodeo, Eric Clapton, Great Big Sea, Bob Marley, Muddy Waters, ZZ Top, U2, Spirit of the West, Willie Nelson, Sam Roberts, Pink Floyd, Tragically Hip, Bedouin Soundclash and more.
