The popular "Strawberry Celebration" at Market on Broadway, downtown Orangeville's farmers' market, is this Saturday, June 27, and is joined this year with a "Pet Show & Spa".

Orangeville Agricultural Society volunteers will be preparing and serving strawberry smoothies and shortcake at the back of the town hall starting at 8 a.m. until supplies run out. Ontario strawberries will be sold at the market at various vendor locations.

Buddy Bites Pet Show & Spa Events will include a pet spa (10 a,m,-12 noon), and pet show (10- 11). Show categories include cutest pet, coolest trick, best dressed, longest tail, most obedient, biggest/smallest, friendliest!

There'll also be a pet obstacle course and a wiener toss, and representatives from Spirit Ridge will be judges for the show. Prizes include gifts from local businesses.

Other activities Saturday include the weekly Kids Corral in Alexandra Park led by the Orangeville Parks & Rec children's program, offering fun activities and pet crafts; free face painting at the market booth.

Vendor Harriett Spot Designs will take a photo of your pet and have it transferred to a bag or wallet.

Saturday's musical performances will be the Orange Peel Morris Dancers sponsored by Zehrs Food Plus at 10:30 and 11:30 in the market area and Seven Crow's Native Drumming in the Town Hall circle in front of Town Hall throughout the morning.
