ELGV awaits explosives decision
      Following a full day of arguments last Thursday in Superior Court at Kitchener, Justice Jane Milanetti has reserved her decision on whether to issue an injunction for Orica to continue operating its explosives facility in Dufferin pending the outcome of an Ontario Municipal Board hearing.

      Dufferin-Caledon MP David Tilson last Friday announced more than $6- million in federally funded infrastructure projects in the riding. He said the federal money, part of the Recreational Infrastructure Canada Program, will allow a start on several recreational projects throughout the region.

Former MPP dead at 78
      Jack Johnson, who represented the western half of Dufferin County in the Ontario Legislature for 15 years, 1975 - 1990, died last Thursday, June 25, at his home in Mount Forest. A long-time owner of a Mount Forest men's wear store, Mr. Johnson served as Progressive Conservative MPP for Wellington-Dufferin riding.
