D-P board releases list of top scholars

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board says 2,200 Grade 12 students scored 80 per cent or higher.

Locally, Oliver Cardoza from Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School was the top Caledon/Dufferin County scholar with a 94.5 per cent average.

Oliver has received a Nortel Network Scholarship and an entrance scholarship from the University of Waterloo, where he will study Computer Engineering.

"These students are to be recognized for their exceptional academic achievements," said John Kostoff, director of education.
