      I read the editorial stance taken by the Orangeville Citizen/Shelburne Free Press in the July 17, 2009 issue, regarding the plight of politicians with respect to Highland Companies plans to develop an open pit limestone mine in Melancthon.

Will voters take notice?
      The columnist Eric Dowd, in a July issue and June 20 issue, is of the opinion that the Conservatives made a dumb move by electing Tim Hudak as their leader. They cannot win this way because those people who complain about the Human Rights Tribunals are of the extreme right , a fringe group.
