JON HARNETT of the Orangeville Northmen is shadowed by a Brampton Excelsior player during the third game of the best-of-seven final. Brampton won the game 6-5 and take a commanding 3-0 series lead into the Powerade Centre in Brampton for game four. The power outage that halted Sunday's Ontario Lacrosse Association bestof seven final series game between the Orangeville Rayburn Construction Northmen and the Brampton Excelsiors could end up being symbolic of the Orangeville offence throughout the series.

The game, which the Northmen were leading 4- 3 at the time, resumed on Monday night in Orangeville.

Brampton shut down the normally high-octane Northmen attack to win 6- 5 and take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series.

The Excelsiors could wrap it up tonight, when they engage Orangeville in the friendly confines of Brampton's Powerade Centre.

Game time is 8 p.m.

Ryan McCelland scored twice for Brampton. Michael Burke had a goal and three assists. Dane Stevens and Pat Saunders each had a goal and one assist. Cameron Flint also scored.

Andrew Potter collected three assists. Scott Tinning added a pair of helpers.

Adam Jones tallied twice for Orangeville and added an assist.

Jeremy Noble had a goal and two assists and Brandon Ivey a goal and one assist. Andrew Sutor also scored.

It would be unfair to say the Orangeville offence was entirely impotent.

In the 6-5 loss, they actually outshot Brampton 54-40, but Exelsior netminder Steve Fryer was up to the take and managed to keep the Northmen in check.
