OBA Championship title for Bengals
      The Orangeville Bantam Bengals managed to accomplish their third and final goal for the 2009 Baseball season by winning the OBA B Championships this past weekend in Thorold, Ontario.

Athletics season ends in semi-final
      The 2009 outdoor season wrapped up this past weekend for the Orangeville Athletic Premier soccer Club. Sponsored by Allto Construction, the Athletic club surprised many, finishing third overall in what was to be a rebuilding year for the club.

Provincial gold for Midgets
      The Midget 1 Northmen recently struck gold by defeating a very talented and determined Six Nations 9-6 in the Provincial final. It was touted as one of the best lacrosse games anyone has seen in a long time as these two powerhouses traded goals for most of the game until Orangeville took control in the third period to take the title.

Chesler-Oritz guides Ontario and Eastern champions
      Set in the idyllic rural landscape outside Georgetown lays Halton Place Farm, the location this past weekend for the Canadian Country Classic. Situated on what used to be a hog farm, the squeals of pigs have now been replaced by the sounds of horse nays. Set on two hundred hectares, the showground comes alive every summer for the equine competition season.

     EQUUS 3-D FARM in Amaranth played host this last Monday to the Canadian Young Event Horse Finals. This competition is aimed at identifying talented young horses from ages three to five who aim to carry Canadian riders to international teams and events as well as an open division.
