Trouble, strife in store at Museum

2009-09-10 / Local News

The Dufferin County Museum and Archives will have Canadian Independent Music Award Winners Trouble & Strife, featuring Larry Kurtz with special guest Paul James, perform at the opening of its 2009 Made of Wood Show.

A low-down, hard-edged and soulful blues band, Trouble & Strife was formed in 1997 by a group of like-minded blues lovers who had diverse musical backgrounds.

At the opening, raffle tickets will be sold on some fantastic prizes, with proceeds going to help keep red oak in the Dufferin County Forest.

The Made of Wood Show Opening Night Party takes place this Saturday, September 12, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and include entry, performance by Trouble & Strife, and ticket for one refreshment and burger. The licensed event is restricted to persons 19 years and older.
