Using only photographs as a guide, Mr. Lennox dedicated 738 hours and over 7,000 matchsticks to constructing a replica of the Waverley Boat, the last ocean-going paddle steamer in the world, which sails out of Glasgow and tours various points of the British Isles. "If I knew what was involved before I began, I probably never would have started," he said. "But once I started, I knew I had to finish."
