Re: "Mel the skate man marks 25 years"
In these tough economic times, it is rare indeed for many businesses not only to survive but also to thrive. In this case, Mel Zahodnik has beat the odds. As word of his attention to detail in his skate sharpening service spread, so did his client base. He may be celebrating 25 years in business but, to him, I know that every time he sharpens a skate it's as if it were the first pair. Each client receives individual attention to their particular need.
I am Mel's sister-in-law. I have witnessed his dedication to the community of Orangeville over these 25 years and am so pleased that he is receiving this recognition — especially from those who are most important to him, namely, his clients.
Your paper truly is the local voice of Orangeville. How refreshing o see some positive news — and presented in such an honest and forthright manner. Once again, thank you for a well-written and timely article, and I liked the photo too!
