It was a busy weekend for the Orangeville Crushers. After having opened their 2009-10 season the week before with a 5-3 win over the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, Orangeville was looking to build on that success when Streetsville came to town Friday. More ... The Orangeville Storm 1999 Boys soccer team closed out an incredibly successful season by capturing the Southwest Region Soccer League U10 Premier Division championship. The Storm went undefeated in league play, winning 12 and tying two. In those 14 games, the team surrendered only 14 goals, while tallying a leagueleading 50 - an average of over 3.5 goals per game. This annual event which was originally conceived as a fun day to introduce the sport of field lacrosse to those who have never played before featured teams from across the region competing at the Tyke, Novice and Peewee levels. Over the past two weekends, Orangeville Tigers Peewee B girl's hockey team have participated in the Scarborough Exhibition Series pre-season hockey tournament. This early competition was the first games of the season for the fresh Tigers team who had yet to play as a unit. More ...
