      The Shelburne Muskies are raring to go and ready to hit the ice. With just over a week before they kick off the 2009-10 season, the Fish have already signed the bulk of their roster and only have a few tough choices to make to fill the final few spots.

Orangeville offence re-ignites
      The Orangeville Crushers seemed to solve their recent scoring slump, tallying for 13 goals while allowing only five against in wins over Dixie and Upper Canada this past weekend. Following on the heels of a 8-3 road loss to Pickering on Wednesday the Crushers made the most of home ice advantage on Friday when the Dixie BeeHives came to town.

Atom Flyers battle back but fall 3-2 to Raiders
      The Dairy Queen Minor Atom AE Flyers continued their regular season this past week posting a tie and a loss, setting their 2009-10 record at 1-3-1. The season started well for the Tykes. In pre-season tournament action in Markham, Orangeville racked up 8- 0, 6-0, 5-0 and 8-0 wins before coming up short to Georgetown in the finals by a score of 3-0.

      TJ"S HANGER held off a late seventh inning rally to claim A division championship honours of the Orangeville Men's Slo-Pitch league. Up 27-13 heading into the bottom of seven, Bakezee's Boys bats exploded for ten runs before TJ'S defence was able to nail down the third out for the win.

McGuinness record to 7-0
      Logan Cotton McGuinness continues to make a name for himself, racking up his seventh win in as many tries to remain unbeaten, posting a 40-35, 39- 36, 39-36 decision over Jorge Banos (4-5-3) in Montreal. The Orangeville fighter came out strong from start to finish.
