Crushers take two of weekend three
      The song says that "two out of three ain't bad" and one could guess that was a sentiment shared around the Crushers' dressing room Monday morning after the team took two of three games this past weekend. Starting the weekend off was a visit from the Hamilton Red Wings.

Thunder edge Royals
      It is fast shaping up as another battle of Dufferin in District 4 Senior Girls basketball. Last Wednesday, CDDHS and Westside put their unbeaten records on the line as the two met for the first time this season. In traditional fashion, the two squads went at it tooth and nail and, at the final buzzer, it was Westside coming out on top of a 43-40 decision.

      Shelburne Muskies will open their 2009-10 campaign this weekend when they host Ripley at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex on Saturday night. Both teams will be hitting the ice with something to prove.

     CDDHS WRESTLER Thomas Bentley gives a few pointers to Cody Fenn-White and his partner last Thursday when grade 9 students at the school were given the opportunity to participate in the "Try Day" project sponsored by the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFFSA) and the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Peewee AA Flyers on 3 game streak
      The Hallmark Toyota Peewee AA Flyers posted three victories over a five day period to improve their record to four wins and one loss. They thumped Milton 7-2, edged Georgetown 3-2 and then whitewashed Guelph 4-0. Their lone loss of the season came against the rival Caledon Hawks.
