Youth Education Officer is reminding everyone that the Poster & Poetry Competition is underway. This is normally done through their respective schools, but entries will be accepted at the Legion directly. The deadline for submissions is no later than November 6, 2009. Applications and rules can be found on the Legion website. RoyalCanadianLegion.ca, under "Student Contests". The Dominion winners have an opportunity to lay a wreath on behalf of the Youth of Canada November 11, 2010 in Ottawa.

The Poppy Campaign of 2009 commences on Friday, October 30, 2009 and continues to and including Wednesday November 11, 2009. Legion members are asked to sign up to do their duty as a canvasser.

October 30th we will be hosting a Turkey dinner with all the trimmings including Dessert by our Chef Bill Cooke .The price will be $10.00 All are Welcome.We will be offering Eat in or Take out.

Our Banquet hall (Downstairs) will be setup for anyone that would like to bring their families and enjoy a home cooked Meal. Tickets Available at the Bar. Delivery available for Seniors.

On Saturday, October 31st we will be having Halloween dance downstairs with Jill Phillips. Dance from 8:30pm to 1:00am.Tickets are $5.00 per person and can be purchased at the Legion club room.

The Nov 7 Remembrance dinner tickets for members are available at the branch.
