Musical benefit set for Eric Copeland
Six months ago, Alton's Eric Copeland was a vibrant nine-year-old, but today he faces enduring 11 courses of chemotherapy, each one squeezing the energy out of his young body with endless complications at every turn.
This unspeakable nightmare is compounded by enormous expenses as Eric's family shuttles back and forth to hospitals and laboratories. The family is faced with at least a year more of uncertainty around Eric's health and heaping expenses.
To help out, local residents have organized a musical fundraiser for Saturday, November 28, from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m., at Hoggy's Bar and Grill in the Alder Street Recreation Centre, Orangeville.
Performers will include Lisa Watson, The Justin McDonald Band, The Houseplants, Hannah Chaplin, Riddum Forward, The Cellars and the Evil Orange Consort featuring Matthew Shawn Fleming.
Tickets will be $20 per person. You can pay at the door, and of course, any further donations will be appreciated.
