BASKETS TO FIGHT ILLITERACY:

The Orangeville Yellow Briar IODE hosted the Twelve Days of Christmas silent auction event Tuesday at the Mill Street location of the Orangeville Public Library to raise funds to promote literacy. Ten Orangeville businesses decorated Christmas baskets with items that highlighted their store or group. The businesses included Iron Eagle Golf and Country Club, Canadian Tire, St. Mark's Anglican Church, Bearly Worn Trading Company, Parson's Florists, Wimpey's Diner, Young Esthetics/Daniels Hairstyling, Achesons, Casa del Gelato and Winexpert . Shown here with the baskets are, left to right: Nahid Azari-Haghighat, Deb Vatanen, Arlene Taylor, Kathy Panet-Raymond, Susan Drisdale, Linda Coleman and Nancy Bennett.
