‘ANGEL HAIR’:Sarah Howcroft and Jade Moriarty, both born on April 28, 2000 and best friends since they were 2, decided to donate 11 inches of their hair to ‘Angel Hair for Kids,’ a non-profit organization providing wigs to kids struggling with an illness causing hair loss. Jade, a blonde, had donated her hair twice in the past but this was redhead Sarah’s first time. Last spring, Sarah’s mom lost her best friend to breast cancer and in thinking of how happy a beautiful wig had made her feel during chemotherapy helped Sarah decide to make the donation at ‘The Body Bar’ in Orangeville. With their two donations, ‘The Body Bar’ accumulated enough pony tails for ‘Angel Hair for kids’ to make a wig for a child in need.
