Selects blank Tornadoes

For the second time this season, the Orangeville Novice Select Flyers have shut out the Tottenham Tornadoes, this time in decisive fashion, blanking the Tornadoes 5-0.

Both squads got off to a sluggish start but as Tottenham started to crank it up late in the first, Orangeville goaltender John Duggan was more than up to the challenge, turning aside all attacks on the Flyers net.

Sparked into action, the Flyers offence finally started to come together when Brody Still converted a beautiful pass from Bradley Penny to open the scoring.

Orangeville captain Ben Stenning was next

the board, capping off an end-to-end rush with

Next came a perfect

Jack Guerra streaking down the ice. Guerra put

Norwich was next up, tagging his second of the season assisted by Nix and Cameron Little before Stenning capped off the scoring, roofing one high into the Tornadoes net on a feed from Penny.

Barrett Ockenden was flawless as well in net for Orangeville, backstopping the second half of the game to preserve the shut-out.

The Novice Selects next game will be on the road at 5 p.m. on Saturday January 30 where the Flyers will square off in Milton against the Winterhawks.
