Five years of Abiding Place Fellowship
It has been five years since Abiding Place Fellowship was established here in Shelburne. Wow the time sure flies! When sit back and recall all the Lord has done through Abiding Place, I am amazed! Many people have worshiped with us from all around the world, not just Shelburne and the surrounding region; we have been blessed to have them join us and I know they have been blessed also. Abiding Place Ministries networks with many ministries and fellowships. We have great working relationships with them which has meant that over the past five years we have had the blessings of many great speakers, as well as worship teams and leaders, with the heart of the Father, the grace of the Son, and the power of the Holy Spirit, come to Abiding Place Fellowship. I know myself and my wife and the people of Abiding Place have been touched by God through them, which in turn have touched Shelburne and our region. I continue to pray Abiding Place will be a blessing to more people in our community and region, and that we can make a difference, bring hope, peace and the tangible love of God to this region. I would like to thank all those from our region who have helped and encouraged Abiding Place to get to where we are today: Good Friends Fellowship, Victory Church, Orangeville Baptist Church, Singing Waters Ministries and Jehovah Jireh Christian Ministries. A big thanks to the Evangelical Christian Church in Canada, with whom we are affiliated, and our Bishop, Dr. Lavigne, who has been here to Shelburne to ordain one of our pastors, Rev. Jay Wagstaff. That day was one of many highlights have of the past five years as well as all the healings people have received, but what touches my heart the most is all the people who are receiving a deeper revelation and relationship with God and an understanding of who they are in Christ. This is what brings hope, peace and joy to a hurting and hopeless generation.
That is the heart of Abiding Place Ministries, abiding in Christ, Christ abiding in us, to bring glory to the Father. As the Pastor of Abiding Place, I am humbled and pleased to see what God is doing. Sunday February 7th at 10 am, Abiding Place Fellowship is having a special anniversary service, with special guest speaker Donna Parachin, special music by Bart DeKrijger and a pot blessing to follow the service. You are all welcome to join us! We will be praising and thanking God for what He has done and what He is doing in Abiding Place
Fellowship.
I also would like to thank the other churches which Abiding Place Fellowship works with in Shelburne to serve our community through the Good Friday Service, Fiddle Contest Church Service and the memorial service, to name a few of the things we do together. We find it a blessing to work with them. While I am writing, I would also like to mention a prayer meeting, put on by the Shelburne Ministerial, which is held the last Monday night of each month at 7pm in the Chapel of Dufferin Oaks, Door F. We pray for our town Council and the needs of the people of Shelburne, so if you have a heart for Shelburne you are welcome to come and join with us. I would also like to give special thanks to Dufferin Oaks for the use of their facility and the blessing they have been to Abiding Place Fellowship. Abiding Place counts it a pleasure to serve the Dufferin Oaks in any way we can.
Last, but not least, thanks to the leadership of Abiding Place Ministries for all your hard work, commitment, and faithfulness to the vision of Abiding Place. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. May God richly bless you. To the people that call Abiding Place home, you are more then family to me and you bless me and my wife very much. I feel very blessed to know and serve you all. May the glory of the Lord come upon you all. As we seek the Lord together in the next coming years, I pray God would cause us to be a greater blessing to Shelburne, to this region and to the whole world, through every member of Abiding Place. Thank you again. May the Peace of God be with you all.
