How incredible the citizens of Orangeville are!

We are so pleased to announce the generosity of our customers at Parson’s Florist who helped us raise $2240.00 in the “Carnations for the Haiti Nation” program. 100% of every sale went to the Canadian Red Cross.

We presented the cheque to the St. Catharines office on January 26th. They loved the canvas we gave them with all the names of those who donated.

Just think, that amount will double to a whopping $4480.00 contribution when matched by the Canadian Government.

I am so proud to live in a town where we value the lives of others so very much. Your support at the Citizen, in spreading the word was appreciated beyond what you know. I means the world to have a community paper who stand for so many good things.

We want to thank all those who purchased carnations for Haiti, our wholesaler Staalduinene Floral, who sold us the carnations at their import cost, which allowed us to double the number of carnations we had to sell, Dan at the Citizen for his great coverage of our fundraiser, Safe Communities who auctioned our donated table centers for their annual gala fundraiser and raised an additional $900 for Haiti and most of all our customers, new and old, who gave to save a nation in such dire straights.

We love you Orangeville! We are truly blessed!
