TV stolen from seniors building
Photo/DAN PELTON THE ISLAND LAKE SOUTH TRAIL received a major financial boost last week, thanks to a $25,000 donation from the Rotary Club. Trailways committee member and Mono councillor Bob Shirley was on hand to accept the donation at the Odd Fellows Hall in Orangeville.
Orangeville Police are seeking the public’s assistance in connection with the theft of a costly television set from a lounge in a Bythia Street seniors apartment building.
Witnesses report that on Monday at about 9 a.m. a lone male walked into the lounge, unplugged the 40” flat panel television and walked out with it.
It is unknown how he entered the secure building.
The suspect is described as, white, in his 30’s, approximately six feet tall, with a slim build, dark hair and a goatee. He was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans.
The suspect was observed in the building as early as 8:30 a.m.
Police also want to hear from anyone who observed anyone resembling the suspect in the area of 43 Bythia.
