On the weekend of February 13th, the Shelburne Atom Local League 1 squad travelled made the trek west to Mount Forest to compete in their Atom tournament.

Their first game was played against Mount Forest who were less than gracious hosts, defeating Shelburne by a score of 4 – 2.

The second game the tournament saw the Wolves came out strong and growling against Fergus.

Shawn Appleton led the scoring with three goals while Jacob Lanteigne, Brandon and Liam McLeoad contributed singles on the way to a 6-5 win.

The final match of the day was against Elora. Brandon McLeoad put Shelburne on the scoreboard with three goals and Jacob Lanteigne chipped in with one to lift the Wolves past Elora at the final buzzer to win the B Championship.

The team is now in their second round of playoffs and is looking forward to another tournament in March.
