Cab driver arrested for impaired driving

Orangeville Police have arrested and charged a 44- year-old Orangeville taxicab driver with impaired driving following an incident March 8.

At about 9 p.m., police received several complaints of a white taxi cab driving in an erratic and dangerous manner. Police located the vehicle in the area of First Avenue and First Street at 9:15. The driver, William Robert Michael Lewis, 44, of Orangeville, was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mg/100 mL of alcohol in his blood and driving while under suspension. He is to appear in court on April 6 to answer to the allegations.
