On Mar 26 we held a Chili Contest. I would like to thank the following members for participation : Comrades Mary Simms, Gord Ryder, Don Kid, Chris Plakholm & Bob Murray. A special thank you to our three judges, Betty Bolton, Barbara Morley & Ron Sloan. The winners were; lst place - Gord Ryder, 2nd Place - Chris Plakholm & 3rd place - Bob Murray.
Congratulations to Emma Middlehurst of St. Andrews Catholic School for taking First Place in Grades 4-6 level and to Brigida Di Matteo also of St. Andrews for runner up in Grades 7-9 level. Good Work Ladies

Branch 233 is celebrating it's 75th Anniversary as of April 1/2010. In honour of our 75th Birthday, you can purchase a beautiful Legion Pin with our branch and date as a memento. Available through the bar.
On Apr 9th, we will be hosting our Famous Turkey Dinner, cost $10.00 - Scotiabank and Br. 233 will be working together, all funds raised will be use to create a new deck for the branch. Entertainment will be provided in the lounge. All are welcome.
On Saturday March 27th two teams from Orangeville competed the district euchre. Our team of Lorne Lundy, Brian Hayden, Sonny Wilson and Ron McCollough finished second place. There were thirty two teams entered. They will now advance to the provincial euchre tournament on May 1st being held in Cambridge.
