The Orangeville Community Band will hold a fundraising concert tonight as the first step toward acquiring uniforms for its members.

“The suggestion was made last year that the band needed uniforms, and so we have decided to do just that,” said band director John Wervers.

“We know this is going to take some time for us to raise enough funds, but this is the start.”

This fundraiser will be in the form of a musical dinner Thursday, April 8, at Orangeville District Secondary School Cafetorium, with the doors opening at 5:30 and dinner and music to begin at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12 and must be purchased ahead of time. They are available at Korsten’s in Orangeville, or by calling 519-942- 1026.

Entertainment will include music by the full band as well as individuals and groups. Everyone is welcome.
