The People’s Credit Union Shelburne Wolves L.L. took to the ice for their final game on March 22nd tied 2-2 in their series against consolation championship against Penetanguishene.

Shelburne opened the scoring with a goal by Zachary Kruger, assisted by Cody Bryan and Sheldon Holmes.

Penetang quickly responded and the second period started with a 1-1 tie.

Shelburne’s Hailey Hoskins scored on a rebound shot after Zoe McCallum made an end to end rush on the goalie.

A third goal was scored by Zach "attack" and assisted by Tyler Bryan.

In the third period a great effort by Shelburne’s goalie Braden Doiron and teammates were not enough to hold Penetang who rallied for two to tie the score at 3-3 where it remained until the end of regulation time.

Overtime had fans for both teams on their feet and cheering, then Hailey Hoskins found herself on a breakaway, going it in alone to score unassisted to bring the game to a 4-3 victory for Shelburne.
