Orangeville BIA director Bayley resigns

Jacqueline Bayley Jacqueline Bayley The Orangeville business community will bid farewell to one of its more ebullient and enthusiastic members April 23 when Jacqueline Bayley officially resigns as executive director of the Business Improvement Area (BIA).

Ms. Bayley, who has held her BIA post since 2006, has accepted an offer to be general manager of the Cambridge farmer’s market.

In an interview Tuesday, she said the decision to leave Orangeville

was a very tough choice to make. The relationships

have built with the members (of the BIA) are at the point where it’s like becoming part of a family.

“They gave me the freedom to be creative and many positive things have happened over the last few years.”

Orangeville BIA chair Rodney Hough praised Ms. Bayley in a press release. “She has worked tirelessly at promoting, beautifying and upgrading downtown Orangeville,” he said. “Events such as Founder’s Fair, Harvest Celebration and Moonlight Magic are all tremendously successful due to Jacqueline’s dedication.”
