Future champions?
WILL MORNING always be this much fun?” could be the question asked by Liam as he gets a helping hand over the ladder during Parent and Toddler Gym activities at the Twisters Gymnastics and Trampoline Club. Photo/MIKE MALONEY
Twisters Gymnastics and Trampoline Club is offering something new this spring for parents of young tots.
Parent and Toddler Gym is a program designed with children ages 18 to 24 months in mind.
The program is designed to improve coordination, balance strength, flexibility and spatial awareness of its young participants. The children learn to explore and discover a variety of movements on the different pieces of gymnastics equipment while interacting with an adult - be that mom, dad or another caregiver.
Instructors provide guided instruction on the apparatus which includes balance beam, trampoline, uneven bars as well as floor circuits as well as other modified gymnastics equipment tailored to the needs of the program.
Classes run at the Twisters facility located in the Alder Street Community Centre on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings and registrations are underway now for the summer session.
