Wolfpack falls prey to Shelburne Vets
Shelburne Vets made the most of a week of rest with two solid showings this past weekend.
Friday night, they played host to the Caledon Bandits in Dundalk.
Down 3-1 after the first 20 minutes of play, Shelburne regrouped over the first intermission to play even with Caledon over the next two periods but were unable to erase that early two goal deficit, going down in a hard fought battle by a score of 6-4.
Dylan Sheard was again sharp between the Vets pipes, turning away 35 of the 41 shots, while Tyler Greer, Jordan Monahan, Jessie Jamieson and Daniel Craig provided the goals for Shelburne.
With renovations still underway at the CDRC,
Vets were back in Dundalk again on Sunday night where, for
third time this season, the Innisfil Wolfpack found themselves squarely in the Vets sights.
David Irons opened
scoring for Shelburne just under two minutes into the game and they never looked back from there.
Notching one for each period, Monahan lead the Vets with three while Irons scored again early in the second to give him two goals on the night. Ben Syme made it 5-2 for Shelburne just past the game's halfway point before Mark Hall scored early in the third on the way to a 7-5 win for the Vets.
