Re G8 and G20 Government Mismanagement:

Canada’s Federal Government is demonstrating a complete lack of leadership and very likely an incredibly brazen movement of tax dollars to supporters.

The G8 and G20 meetings were held in other countries in each of the past two years and the security cost for the meeting this year in Canada is over $800 million more. Why?

Meeting locations were chosen to permit an open-ended security cost.

By choosing an isolated centre for the G8 in Huntsville, funds can be directed to a range of firms most of which will be related to security and distance.

The major misuse of funds occurred when the Government chose a meeting place for the G20 in a major industrial centre where education, business, entertainment and public disruption will be extreme, namely in Toronto. These locations would only be chosen if large sums of money wee available to be transferred from Government coffers to private firms. Choosing the Toronto location demonstrates extreme arrogance and a complete disrespect for Canadians.

Other member countries chose locations that, from security concern, were manageable. It appears that most, if not all, countries have corruption and Canada has been no exception.

What we appear to be seeing here is an incredibly large transfer of tax funds to supporters with no questions asked. After all, how can anyone question “Security”?

Other member countries will envy Canada’s politicians’ incredible movement of funds to friends.

I have always argued that we should only permit a government to be in power for at most has demonstrated that we need to vote them out. Some people say “Who else is there?” There is always a choice and, even though many say they do not like the other leaders, we must look at the leader we have now and previous leaders and realize that we learned, after the fact, that they do not rate very high.

We must have new people to look at how our money is being handled and give us an idea of what is happening in our country.
