Caledon man’s remains found in Muskoka
Ontario Provincial Police have announced that human remains found late last month in three Muskoka-area locations belonged to a 45-year-old Caledon man.
The OPP Central Region office reported this week the remains were those of Morris Conte of Bolton. Police said a post mortem examination had been completed at the Office of the Chief Coroner in Toronto. DNA testing conducted by the Centre of Forensic Science (CFS) in Toronto assisted in identifying the deceased.
Mr. Conte, a father for four, was a general contract painter who in the early 1970s moved to Bolton with his family who, according to a family source who asked not to be identified, still live in the area. He had recently returned to Bolton.
“He was a good son,” said the source. “He was a good father.”
Police are asking anyone with information regarding their ongoing investigation to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 222-TIPS (8477).
