Thank you to all who supported our 50’s & 60’s Dance on Founders’ weekend, it was a big success.

Weekly Wednesday night Euchre at 7:30 pm is being well attended. $10. to play and all monies go back into cash prizes. Our next Sunday Euchre is July 25th at 1 pm. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Sunday Euchre is played the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.

Our next Ways & Means outdoor event is our combination Garage, Trunk and Bake Sale on Saturday, August 7th from 8 am ‘til 2 pm. Come early and reserve a space in our lot for $10. to display your items. Donations welcome.

Congratulations to Comrades Gord Ormerod and Cliff Cudney who won the District Golf Tournament on July 10th.

Our regular Karaoke on Saturday night will be hosted by Johnny Green this week.

Bingo is returning to the Shelburne Legion on July 19th – doors open at 6:30 p.m. in the back hall, early bird at 7:30 p.m. Come out for a great evening. The next Bingos will be July 25th, August 2 and 4.

Our Monday afternoon euchre continues. Register at 2 p.m. and play starts promptly at 2:30 p.m. Does not matter if the Monday is a holiday, euchre continues.

Veterans – calling all veterans in the area. We have a great group of Veterans who meet every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. for coffee and goodies. The Ladies Auxiliary of Shelburne Legion provide the goodies. Veterans support each other and if one Veteran has a problem perhaps another Veteran can help. If you are a Veteran in the area please contact the branch or Patricia at (519) 925-8611.

Fiddleville is coming – August 4th through to August 8th. Bingo on August 4th, Wings and meat spin on August 5th. August 6th breakfast starts and the Branch is open for breakfast, lunch, food, comradeship, until Sunday August 8th at noon.

July 25th the Veterans will be laying a wreath at Trinity United Church in Shelburne. All are welcome to attend and then return to the Branch following the service.
