Rather than accepting gifts for her 12th birthday, Emily Benson asked her birthday party guests to make a donation to Headwaters Health Care Foundation.

Emily’s gift of $600 for the Headwaters Health Care Centre will help make sure patients who go for medical care continue to receive excellent care using stateof the-art equipment.

“We are truly touched by the generosity of this young woman and her friends,” said Joan Burdette, the Foundation’s executive director. “Our sincere thanks goes out to this budding philanthropist.”

Headwaters will use the funds to help purchase the more than $1.5 million of new equipment the hospital has identified on the 2010- 2011 hospital equipment priority list.
