WELCOME THE BROADWAY BULLIES: While they won’t have such names as Dave Schultz and Moose Dupont in their 2010-2011 line-up and won’t look to exactly mimic the style of the infamous Philadelphia Flyer “Broad Street Bullies” teams of the 1970s, the Ontario Junior Hockey League Orangeville Crushers will take to the ice as the Orangeville Flyers this season. Team owner Nick Vassos says the name change will link the junior club more closely with the Flyers’ minor hockey program in town. Mr. Vassos says the junior Flyers won’t be overly prone to fisticuffs, but “they will finish their checks and be tough to play against.”
