NDNL gears up for playoffs
The North Dufferin Baseball League playoffs get started this week with eight senior division teams qualifying.
The teams will play a best of five series to see who will advance to the next round.
Bolton will take on Orillia. Barrie will be up against Aurora.
New Lowell will face Ivey and Creemore will meet Lisle to start.
In the East division, the Bolton A Brewers finished in top spot with an 18-3-0 record.
The Barrie Red Sox B came in second place with 12 wins and eight loses
In the west the New Lowell Knights had a solid season finishing in first place with 16 wins after 21 games for the season.
The Creemore Braves slotted in at the second position in league standings with 15 wins in the 21 game schedule.
While the senior division playoffs get underway, the three junior division teams will have their own tournament style series this coming weekend.
The juniors will play off against each other to determine who will fill the slot in the playoffs.
The junior tournament will take place on August 7, and 8.
Details and times have not yet been determined but will be posted on the NDBKL website.
